WW2 Dutch Leader Hitler Youth Dagger - SOLD

Up for sale is a very rare Dutch HJ Leader’s Dagger made by Carl Eickhorn.   The HJ knife measures approximately 7 ¾” in length and is very good condition with no chips, cracks, material wear marks, dents or sharpening. It is original and complete with its scabbard.  The handle of this Eickhorn piece is very nice and with enameled motto (inlaid with gold perimeter and blue background of white seagull flying over white waves).  It has a few small areas where there is very minor pitting on the metal of the handle that can be seen in the photo.   The blade is excellent condition and has the inscription of Moed, Eer en Trouw.  The reverse of the blade has the Eickhorn 1935-41 squirrel with the stamping of A1487.  It also has the original leather bumper guard for the scabbard.  The scabbard of this Eickhorn piece is in very good condition overall with some areas where the original paint has been rubbed off.  The leather strap is also in very good condition and is not torn or ripped, uniform in finish and the snap works.
